Day Trip from Marrakech to Imlil

On our Atlas Mountains and Imlil day trip is an enjoyable excursion from Marrakech. if you desire to get out of the city and delve in the authentic and rural side of Morocco. We will start our Imlil day trip after breakfast in your Hotel in Marrakech, having a 2 hour drive south up the Moulay Brahim Gorges, and the berber village of Asni. A mesmerizing little location that is very popular for its weekly market every Saturday.

Next, we continue to Imlil is a small village at the foothills of the highest mountains in Morocco Toubkal mountain. Imlil is the center to hire mountain guides and mules due its unique position and its connection to several berber villages and a very popular start point of treks and hikes for climbing Toubkal mountain. Once we arrive to Imlil, we leave our vehicle and take the mules for a ride towards the south to the Berber village of Aroumd (Aremd) set in the upper level foothills of the Western High Atlas mountains, a main trailhead with streams and paths branching out in all directions to get our lunch which will be served in a typical Berber house in the village of Aroumd.

Last, we will take longs walk to appreciate the marvelous beauty of the mountains before we return to Marrakech, where your driver will dropp you off at your Hotel/riad.
